The primary goal of APR is to be a steward of free speech at Amherst College. Given the diversity of beliefs and life experiences that make up our school, we strongly believe that students deserve a platform to express themselves politically. Far from producing milquetoast “both sides” discourse, our organization seeks to accommodate a wide range of perspectives from the moderate to the radical. We highly encourage pieces on international, domestic, and local topics, and value an interdisciplinary approach which may draw on any field of study insofar as it intersects with the political.
